Live-Streaming with Veo Cam 2 using a wi-fi network connection

This article shows you the steps you need to follow to live-stream your football games with your Veo Cam 2 using a Wi-Fi network connection.

 


Make sure that your Veo Cam 2 and the Veo Camera app run on the latest software available. Visit this article Software updates to check the latest software version.

Before you start a Live stream using a Wi-Fi network connection, go over this quick checklist:

  • You have registered your Veo Cam 2 to your Veo Club.
  • You have purchased the Live-Streaming add-on with your Veo Subscription.
  • You have the Veo Camera app installed on your smartphone or tablet. You can find it on the App Store and the Play Store.
  • You have ensured a good, stable, and fast upload internet speed from the Wi-Fi connection.

Once confirmed, follow the steps to live-stream your games:

 

For iOS
  1. Attach the Veo Cam 2 to the tripod and turn it on. Position the tripod along the centerline, about 3-5 meters from the sideline, with the sun on the back of the camera. Now raise it to the max height.
  2. Connect to your camera through the Veo Camera app.

  4. Once connected, check that the camera has internet access. Tap on the arrow to see the details, you should see Camera Connection: WiFi.

  5. When ready, tap on Go Live.
  6. Confirm match details and tap on Next.

  7. In this step, you can select the destination for your Live stream. Please visit this article About External Streaming Destinations to learn about external destinations and how to set it up. Once you select where your match will be streamed, tap on Next.

  8. Now you will see a checklist. In most cases, AI will automatically select the corners of the pitch. In case you need to select the corners, check the following article that best explains to you how to do it Corner selection. If everything is correct, swipe to go Live.

To finish a Live stream, just tap on Stop Livestreaming and confirm you want to end it.

When you Live-stream, the Veo Cam also records the match so you can upload it to your Clubhouse afterward. Assign all match details and save.

You also have the option to add all the match details while the game is still ongoing.

 

If you want to enable the preview after you have started the live stream, tap on the Enable preview option below.

You will see the following messages, tap on Connect, anyway, and on Join, respectively.

The preview will now be enabled, and you will be able to see what the camera is capturing.

For Android
  1. Set up and raise the tripod with the Veo Cam 2 on it and turned on. Check this article for more details Set up for recording

     

  2. Connect to your camera through the Veo Camera app.

  4. Once the internet connection is established, confirm you can see this icon on the camera preview.

  5. Click the Record + Livestream button and follow the on-screen instructions. connected_to_wi-fi.png

     

  6. Select what pitch size you are playing on and save.

     

  7. Select which team from your club is playing, write the opponent team's name, and choose whether your team is playing at home or away and continue.

     

  8. In most cases, AI will automatically detect and select the corners of the pitch. If the app is unable to detect the pitch and you need to select the corners manually, check the following article that best explains to you how to do it Corner selection. Tap on Select pitch and proceed.

     

Once confirmed, you are ready to go Live!

 

To finish a Live stream, just tap on Stop Livestreaming. When you Live-stream, the Veo Cam also records the match so you can upload it to your Clubhouse afterward. Assign a title to the recording and save.

Your Live stream will appear on the Veo Live app after 60 seconds, and your Club followers will get a notification to watch.
