This article guides you through troubleshooting upload issues with Veo Cam 2, Veo Cam 3, and Veo Cam 3 5G. It covers checking internet speed, removing the SIM card (if applicable), updating software, verifying registration, adjusting firewall settings, using an Ethernet connection, and checking the Veo platform status.

Requirements

  • Veo Cam 2, Veo Cam 3, or Veo Cam 3 5G at hand
  • Access to a stable internet or WiFi connection
  • Registered camera to your Veo Club account
  • Optional: Ethernet cable and USB-C dongle

If your upload doesn't automatically start or it's not progressing, follow these steps:

Steps to Troubleshoot Upload Issues

1. Check Your Internet Connection

A slow or unstable internet connection can prevent uploads. Ensure your connection is fast and stable.

Tip: Test your internet speed here. Focus on the upload speed.

2. Remove SIM Card (If Applicable)

If you’re using a Veo Cam 2 or Veo Cam 3 5G with a SIM card, remove the SIM from the camera and try uploading again via WiFi.

3. Update Your Camera Software

Ensure your Veo Cam is running the latest software version. Follow the steps in this article: Update your Veo Cam software version.

4. Verify Camera Registration

Your Veo Cam must be registered with your Club on the Veo platform. If not, the upload will fail because the camera won’t know where to send the recordings.

5. Check for Firewall Restrictions

If you are uploading from a public network (school, hotel, or office), firewall settings may block the upload. Ask the network administrator to whitelist the following addresses:

  • app.veo.co (port 443)
  • veo-content-ii.s3.amazonaws.com (port 443)
  • veo-camera-diagnostics.s3.amazonaws.com (port 443)

Note: This step may require assistance from your IT department or internet provider.

6. Use an Ethernet Connection

If possible, connect the camera directly to an Ethernet cable using a USB-C dongle.

After connecting, reboot your camera by pressing the power button for 15 seconds until all lights blink. This can help reset the connection and fix upload issues.

7. Check Veo Platform Status

Sometimes, the issue might be on our end. Check for platform updates or known issues at our Veo Status Page.
