Each streaming experience and connection quality is different and depends on the provider, location, coverage, device type, etc. At Veo, we can't, unfortunately guarantee the quality of the connection. At least not for now.
Here’s a few things we’ve seen in our tests increase the chances for a good connection:
- Request a data-only plan SIM card.
- Look for 5G network plans for best performance. The Veo Cam 3 5G is also compatible with 4G technology. The Veo Cam 2 is only 4G compatible, but you can also utilize a 5G data plan.
- Ask for data plans that work with tablets, routers, and devices like security cameras.
- During our testing, we found that some unlimited plans will downgrade the data speed once you reach a certain amount of data usage. This could cause issues when trying to Live-stream with Veo Cam as the downgraded speed might not be the required one to live-stream. Please consult with your data provider if this is the case.
- Confirm with your data provider the nano SIM card doesn’t have a PIN before using it with the Veo Cam 2.
Now, when it comes to what provider to go with, we can’t make an official recommendation.
We have, however, looked into our data, and observed what providers are often used for streaming with other Veo Cam users. Perhaps this list can help you get started, too.
