This guide walks you through troubleshooting steps to fix connection issues between the Veo Camera app (Android) and your Veo Cam 1. Follow the outlined solutions to quickly reconnect and get back to recording your games.

Requirements:

  • Android device with the Veo Camera app installed
  • Veo Cam 1
  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Location permissions enabled on your device

Step 1: Check App Permissions

When connecting to your Veo Cam 1, ensure the app has the following permissions on your device:

  • Bluetooth
  • Wi-Fi
  • Location Services

Go to your phone settings, find the Veo app, and confirm all permissions are enabled.

Note: Without these permissions, the app may not detect the camera correctly.


Step 2: Manually Connect to the Camera’s Wi-Fi

If the app struggles to find the camera, manually connect to its Wi-Fi hotspot:

  • Exit the Veo Camera app.
  • Open your phone’s Wi-Fi Settings.
  • Select the camera's Wi-Fi network (VEOCAM-XXXX).
  • Enter the password: kickoff!
  • Reopen the Veo Camera app and connect.

Tip: This often solves connection hiccups quickly!


Step 3: Disable Other Network Connections

Network conflicts can sometimes interfere with the connection. Try this:

  • Close the Veo Camera app.
  • Enable Airplane mode on your phone.
  • Turn on Wi-Fi manually (while still in Airplane mode).
  • Reopen the Veo Camera app and attempt to connect again.

Note: Airplane mode limits other wireless interferences.


Step 4: Reset Your Network Settings (Last Resort)

If you’re still facing issues, reset your device’s network settings.

Warning: This will erase all stored Wi-Fi networks on your device.

Steps:

  1. Go to your device’s Settings.
  2. Select System.
  3. Tap on Reset Options.
  4. Select Reset Wi-Fi, Mobile, and Bluetooth.
  5. Confirm by tapping Reset Settings.
  6. Reconnect to the Veo Cam 1 and open the Veo Camera app.

  • Connect to the camera's Wi-Fi (VEOCAM-XXXX) using the password kickoff!
  • Open your phone's web browser.
  • Visit cam.veo.co.
  • Interact with your Veo Cam 1 directly through the web app.
