This guide walks you through troubleshooting steps to fix connection issues between the Veo Camera app (iOS) and your Veo Cam 1. Follow the solutions below to quickly restore your connection and get back to recording.
Requirements:
- iOS device with the Veo Camera app installed
- Veo Cam 1
- Access to the camera’s Wi-Fi network and password ("kickoff!")
Option 1: Adjust Wi-Fi Settings and Reconnect
- Exit the Veo Camera app on your iPhone.
- Enable Airplane Mode on your phone.
- Go to your phone’s Wi-Fi Settings and connect to the camera’s Wi-Fi network (VEOCAM-XXXX) using the password kickoff! (printed on the backside of the camera).
- While connected, tap the blue information (i) icon next to the network name and disable "Limit IP Address Tracking".
- Reopen the Veo Camera app and try to connect again.
- If you still can't connect, forget the Veo Cam Wi-Fi, reconnect, and retry with the app.
Note: Disabling "Limit IP Address Tracking" ensures the phone communicates correctly with the camera.
Option 2: Use the Veo Web App
If connection through the Veo Camera app still fails, try accessing the camera via the Veo web app:
- Exit the Veo Camera app.
- Go to your phone’s Wi-Fi Settings and connect to the camera’s Wi-Fi network (VEOCAM-XXXX) using the password kickoff!.
- Open your web browser and go to cam.veo.co.
Tip: The Veo Web App can be a reliable fallback for controlling your camera if the mobile app is experiencing issues.
Option 3: Reset Network Settings (Last Resort)
If none of the previous methods work, reset your iPhone’s network settings.
Warning: This will delete all saved Wi-Fi networks, so you will need to reconnect manually to any previously saved networks.
- Go to Settings on your iPhone.
- Select General.
- Tap Transfer or Reset iPhone.
- Choose Reset → Reset Network Settings.
- After the reset, reconnect to the Veo Cam’s Wi-Fi and open the Veo Camera app again.
You should now be able to successfully connect your iPhone to the Veo Cam 1 via the Veo Camera app.
