What is a Directed Clip?
A Directed Clip in Veo Editor is created in Interactive Mode, allowing you to manually adjust the camera position to focus on specific actions or players, providing a director-like experience. With Directed Clips, you can follow any action on the field from your preferred angle. There’s no limit to how many Directed Clips you can create.
How to Create a Directed Clip in Veo Editor
Follow these steps to create a Directed Clip:
- Start Creating a New Clip.
Click on the + sign on the side menu bar. Depending on your interface, you’ll see an option to either New Clip or Create Clip. Alternatively, use the shortcut by pressing the letter H on your keyboard.
- Select a Tag and Choose Interactive Mode.
Choose the tag you want to use for the clip, or create a custom tag. Then, select Interactive to enter the interactive mode.
Once in interactive mode, the clip editor will open, and the clip bar will appear at the bottom of the screen.
- Focus on the Player or Action.
Find the player or action you want to highlight. You can zoom in and out to adjust the view as needed.
- Add Keyframes to Follow the Action.
Play the video and start adding keyframes by following the player or action. You can adjust the zoom level between each keyframe for a dynamic viewing experience. Once satisfied, you can adjust the clip’s duration by dragging the side handle.
- Save and Customize Your Directed Clip.
Before saving, select the team, tag players, or leave a comment. You can also choose the clip’s privacy settings. After saving, the Clip will be rendered, and you will see it in the Clips list on the side menu bar.
