This article shows you how to create drawings on your Veo recordings to provide visual inputs to your players.

Drawing on screen is a must-have tool for coaches. For the best video review experience, we want you, the coach, to be able to demonstrate your points, reinforce learning and educate your players, and what better way than with drawings?

You can decide if you want to create a highlight containing the drawing, or you can draw whenever you like and not have to save it as a highlight. This is perfect if you are presenting the video to the team.

Here's how to do it:

To quickly create a drawing to provide input at the moment without having to save a highlight, follow the next steps:

  1. Look for the Add drawing option at the bottom left corner.

  2. Here, you can choose from colors, arrows, shapes, spotlight, free drawing, or add text. You can also undo, redo, or delete everything if you want to start over.

  3. Once you are done, click on the X to close the drawing tool and continue playing the video.

3b. Alternatively, you can save it as a highlight; for this, instead of closing the drawing tool, click on the + (Create highlight) option on the right-side panel.

Note: The option to draw without saving it as a highlight is only visible on tablet-size screens and up.

To create a draw-on-screen highlight, follow the next steps:

  2. Look for the Add drawing option at the bottom left corner.

  3. Create the drawing you want.

  4. On the highlight panel, select a tag, team, add a comment, and/or tag players and save the highlight.

When creating a highlight using your phone, you must select a tag before the drawing tool becomes available.

Note: The drawing tool works better and provides a better user experience on tablet-sized screens and up.

The highlight with the drawing will appear on the highlights list.

When you play a highlight with a drawing, the video will be paused, giving you the time you want to analyze the play and provide feedback to your players. Once you are ready, click on play to continue with the video.

Notice that drawings can’t be downloaded; this means if you download a highlight containing a drawing, it will not show the drawings.
