Learn how the Share with an Opponent feature works, how to accept a shared recording invitation, and what you as the opponent will be able to see and do with the shared match.
Are you looking to share your own recording? Find out more about that here: How to use the Share with Opponent feature in Veo
How it works
The Share with an Opponent feature allows clubs to send a copy of your Veo match recording to another team—typically their opponent—so they can analyze and interact with it independently in their own Clubhouse.
This is a one-way share: the receiving team gets a limited version of the recording to use on their own Veo account, without seeing your manual edits or internal commentary.
If you have received an invitation, this article tells you how to accept it, and what that means.
How to accept a Share with Opponent invitation
-
You’ll receive an email invitation when a recording is shared with you. Click Accept invitation.
-
A new screen will open in your browser. Click Accept to confirm the share.
-
If you don’t already have a Veo account, you’ll be prompted to create one.
If you already use Veo, ensure the invitation was sent to the email associated with your account. Then, select your Clubhouse from the dropdown menu.
-
Once accepted, the video will appear in your Clubhouse and you can:
- Rename the recording
- Create new Follow-cam clips
- Add your own comments and tags
- Download the video (if your subscription allows it)
Access your shared recording at app.veo.co.
What happens when you accept a Share with Opponent invitation?
Will you receive Analytics or Player Spotlight?
- Yes—if both the original and opponent Clubhouses have the Analytics and/or Player Spotlight add-ons, the shared copy will include them.
- No—if either team lacks one of the add-ons, those features won’t appear in the shared version.
Will you see Clips & Events?
- Yes—you will receive AI-generated Clips and Events, if generated on the original recording.
- No—you will not see manually created clips, events, comments, or tags from the original video.
Can you create you own Clips & Events?
- Yes—you can create your own normal Clips and Events on the shared recording.
- No—you cannot create Directed Clips using the Interactive Mode on the shared version.
Can you download the recording?
- Yes—if you are on a plan above Starter (e.g. Team, Family, Club, Club+, or Enterprise), you can download the recording.
"Invitation Could Not Be Loaded"?
The original video owner can revoke the share at any time. If this happens, you will lose access to the recording and related clips. You'll receive an email notification, and when trying to open the recording, an error will display: "The invitation could not be loaded."
