Veo Go - Frequently Asked Questions

Veo Go is a mobile football recording solution that allows you to capture matches using iPhones. This FAQ covers everything you need to know, including device compatibility, setup, recording, storage, and subscription details.

Device Compatibility & Requirements

What devices work with Veo Go?

Veo Go requires two iPhones for recording and a third device to control the recording.

  • Camera Role: Limited to iPhones with an ultra-wide camera. For detailed information, visit the Veo Go: Supported iPhones & Compatibility Guide.
  • Controller Device: Can be any iPhone or iPad running iOS 17 or later. Compatible models include iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone SE (2nd gen. or newer), and all newer iPhones.
  • Android Support: Veo Go does not support Android devices. While we haven’t ruled out future development, it is not currently on our roadmap.

Do both recording phones need to be the same model?

No, any combination of Veo Go-supported iPhones can be used to record.

Why do I need three devices to capture a match?

Veo Go requires:

  1. Two iPhones with ultra-wide cameras to capture both halves of the pitch.
  2. One additional device (iPhone or iPad) to control the recording, since the phone rig is mounted on a tripod.

Setup & Equipment

Can I use my Veo Cam tripod with Veo Go?

No, we do not recommend using a Veo Cam tripod with Veo Go, or vice versa, as it may cause instability and potential accidents.

My phone rig broke—what can I do?

Contact our Support team for assistance. We will help you find the best solution.

Can I use Veo Go in rainy conditions?

iPhone 11 and later have an IP68 rating, making them water-resistant. However, unlike the Veo Cam, the exposed camera lenses can easily collect water droplets, which may blur the video depending on the weather. For more details on your iPhone’s water resistance, visit Apple’s website.

Recording & Storage

Why do I need a subscription to record with my own iPhones?

A Veo Go subscription covers:

  • Storage for your matches
  • AI-powered video processing for high-quality automated production

I ran out of recording hours—what can I do?

If you've used all your available recording hours, you have two options:

  • Wait for the next month: Your recording hours automatically reset at the start of each billing cycle.
  • Upgrade your subscription: Purchase an additional Veo Go subscription to double your recording hours, add an extra team, and include more members in your account.

How much storage is required to record a full match?

The storage needed depends on the duration of your recording. We estimate that a 1.5-hour recording takes up about 6 GB of storage on each camera phone. For more detailed information, visit the Storage Requirements Guide.

How can I get the best video quality?

Follow these tips to maximize video quality:

  • ✅ Secure the iPhones by attaching the included waterbag to the tripod.
  • ✅ Ensure the entire pitch is visible in the frame, with all corners included.
  • Do not move the tripod once recording starts.

What do I do after recording?

Once the match is recorded, each phone will have captured one half of the pitch. Upload both video files to the Veo platform, where they will be combined into one full match video.
