What are Player Moments?
Player Moments helps coaches and players quickly find, analyze, and share moments in the video based on a specific player. Less time spent reviewing video, more time for coaching.
Powered by Veo AI, it automatically detects shirt numbers. It uses a combination of rules to show when that player is involved in the action and provides a playlist of those moments, ready for review by coaches, analysts, and players.
Follow a player.
Get started by selecting a player or jersey number in the Player Bar below the video.
When you choose a player or jersey number, the video will kick off and showcase the highlights for that specific player or number. You can easily browse through the moments using the controller at the top of the video or by checking out the moments list in the panel on the right side.
Control what kind of moments you see
You can adjust which Moments you want to see by adjusting the Settings.
Are you interested in seeing Moments where the player is really close to the ball, or are you okay with them being a bit further away? Would you prefer the player to be near the ball for a longer or shorter duration? And how many seconds before and after the action would you like to catch? It’s up to you!
Note:
Changing the Settings might result in no moments being detected for that player. We suggest changing the settings to include additional moments if none are available.
Make clips of the best moments
Some moments stand out more than others. As a coach, one of these might highlight a player's development plan or your team's current strategy.
As a player, certain moments may be ideal for your personal highlight reel from the game.
No matter the reason, when you see something special, you can quickly create a clip of that moment. This lets you tag players, add them to a player profile, and download them for sharing.
Add to your players' moments playlists
Any Veo match events (such as shots, corners, and goals) that you have tagged a player in will also appear in that player’s moments playlist. Remember: assigning players to match events will also populate your player stats table in the Analytics Studio.
When the recording is ready to watch, there are a few essential steps you need to take in order for Player Moments to be displayed properly:

First, Sides and periods
By confirming sides and periods, we can identify which team is yours and which one is your opponent. If you’re not seeing the right jersey numbers or if the Moments are following your opponent, check that your sides and periods for the recording are correct.

Then, Lineup
When you open a recording with Player Moments, you will see a list of the jersey numbers we’ve detected for that game. Once you’ve confirmed your sides and periods, head over to the lineup to link your players to each of the jersey numbers. Learn how to here About Lineup and Formation. This will make it much easier for you to review and analyse the game. Remember, completing your lineup will also automatically add to your Player Stats table in the Analytics Studio.
Ensuring the best results
Many factors can affect the outcomes in Player Moments. Some, like weather and lighting, are beyond your control, but others are manageable. Here’s what you should consider:
- Follow our best practice guidelines for recording.
- Shirts with a strong contrast between the jersey number and the background will perform best.
- Shirts featuring large numbers in simple fonts will be the most effective.

We recognize jersey numbers from 1 to 99. Please be aware that numbers outside this range may impact your experience negatively.

Having long hair might affect performance since it can cover the jersey number.
- Duplicate jersey numbers within the same team will result in a poor experience.

Yes, you can change some parameters. They are: - Distance to ball - Time on ball - Time before and after the moment. These are found in the settings menu just above the Player Moments bar below the video.
