To live stream, you need to have the Veo Live add-on subscription.

In this article, you will find information about how to livestream to a destination of your own choice (e.g. your own website or a streaming platform you are collaborating with).

Step 1: Setup a Custom Streaming Destination.

  1. First, you need to configure which Twitch account you want to stream to. To do this, go to your Veo account at app.veo.co and select Veo Live in the left-sided menu. This will bring you to the Streaming Destinations page.streaming destination page.png

  2. Then click Setup next to the Custom option.

Here, you need to add an RTMP URL and a stream key.

    - RTMP URL is the destination we will be sending the live stream to.
    - The Stream Key is the unique identifier of the stream.

The platform you are streaming to will be able to provide you with these details.

  3. Once added, click Confirm and you have now completed the setup.

    Note

There is a toggle that allows you to request the stream key when starting the live stream via the Veo Camera App. If turned on, this will allow you to paste in different stream keys for different streams, which effectively allows you to stream individual games to different Twitch channels.

Step 2: Start the livestream.

With the setup done, you are now able to start a livestream.

  1. Connect to the camera via Veo Camera App, make sure the camera is connected to an internet source and click on Go Live.

NOTE: If during the setup you selected “Request stream key when starting live stream”, the Veo Camera App will ask you to add that Stream Key in this step.

  4. Finally, Swipe to go Live to start the live stream.

The camera is now live streaming to your custom destination. Note that there is a delay of around 60 seconds until the stream is viewable on your custom destination.

Veo systems are not able to verify or see what happens to the livestream after it is sent to the custom destination, so to validate that everything is working, you will need to go to the platform destination and check there.

To Finish the live stream, click on Stop livestream in the Veo Camera app. This will automatically stop the livestream.
