This guide explains how to set up and live stream to a custom destination using Veo Live. A custom destination could be your own website or a third-party streaming platform. You'll learn how to configure your RTMP stream and initiate a broadcast from the Veo Camera App.

Set up a custom streaming destination

To live stream to your own platform, you’ll first need to configure a custom destination.

  1. Log in to your Veo account at app.veo.co. From the left-side menu, click Veo Live to open the Streaming Destinations page. Then click Add streaming destination
Select Veo Live in the menu
  2. From the Select platform dropdown, choose Custom and give your destination a name. Click Continue
Select custom destination and give it a name
  3. Enter the RTMP URL and Stream Key provided by your streaming destination.

    • RTMP URL: The address to which the stream is sent
    • Stream Key: The unique identifier for the live stream

If you want to make this the default destination for future streams, check Set as default.

Accept the terms and conditions, then click Create to finish the setup.

Provide RTMP URL and Stream Key

Note: You can enable a toggle that allows you to paste in different stream keys each time you go live via the Veo Camera App.

  4. Your custom streaming destination is now saved and will be available whenever you start a live stream.

Start the live stream

Once your custom destination is set up, you’re ready to go live from the Veo Camera App.

  1. Open the Veo Camera App and connect to your camera. Ensure it is connected to the internet, then tap Go Live
    Go live stream destinations
  2. Add your match details and tap Next
    Enter match details
  3. In the next step, select Custom as the streaming destination and tap Next
    Select custom

Note: If you enabled the “Request stream key when starting live stream” option during setup, you’ll be prompted to enter a Stream Key at this step.

  4. Swipe to go live and start streaming.
    Swipe to live

Your Veo camera is now live streaming to your custom destination.

Note: There may be a delay of up to 60 seconds before the stream becomes visible on your platform.

Important: Veo cannot monitor or troubleshoot what happens to the livestream after it's sent to a custom destination. To confirm your stream is working correctly, verify it directly on your selected platform.

Stop the livestream

To end the stream, tap Stop livestream in the Veo Camera App. This will immediately stop the live broadcast.
