To live stream, you need to have the Veo Live add-on subscription.
In this article, you will find information about how to livestream to Facebook using a Veo Cam.
Step 1: Setup Facebook as a Streaming Destination.
- First, you need to configure which Facebook Profile or Facebook Page you want to stream to.
To do this, go to your Veo account at app.veo.co and select Veo Live in the left-sided menu. This will bring you to the Streaming Destinations page.
- Then click Setup next to the Facebook icon.
Here you need to add a stream key. A stream key is a small piece of code that allows the Veo Cam to connect to Facebook and send the stream to the correct Facebook Profile or Page.
-
To find your “stream key” log in to your Facebook account and go to https://www.facebook.com/live/producer/. Click on the Go Live button.
-
To find your Stream Key, make sure to select Streaming software as your video source.
Click on the Copy button to copy your stream key to your clipboard.
- Go back to the Streaming Destinations page on app.veo.co and paste the stream key into the open text field. Click on Confirm.
Note
There is a toggle that allows you to request the stream key when starting the live stream via the Veo Camera App. If turned on, this will allow you to paste in different stream keys for different streams, which effectively allows you to stream individual games to different YouTube channels.
Step 2: Start the livestream.
With the setup done, you are now able to start a livestream.
- Connect to the camera via Veo Camera App, make sure the camera is connected to an internet source and click on Go Live.
- Next add the Match Details and click Next.
- In the next step, select Facebook as your streaming destination and click Next.
NOTE: If during the setup you selected “Request stream key when starting live stream”, the Veo Camera App will ask you to add that Stream Key in this step.
-
Finally, Swipe to go Live to start the live stream.
The camera is now live streaming to Facebook! Note that there is a delay of around 60 seconds until the stream is viewable on Facebook.
Next you need to publish the stream to your Facebook Profile or Facebook Page. To do this go back to Facebook Live Producer.
First, make sure you give the live stream a title and a description so that it will be easy to find for your viewers.
Finally, click on the Go live button to publish the live stream to your audience.
The stream is now public on your Facebook Profile or Facebook Page.
To Finish the live stream, click on Stop livestream in the Veo Camera app. This will automatically stop the live stream on Facebook.
