To live stream, you need to have the Veo Live add-on subscription.
In this article, you’ll find information on how to live stream to Twitch using a Veo Cam.
Step 1: Set Up Twitch as a Streaming Destination
First, you need to set up the streaming destination.
- To do this, go to app.veo.co and select Veo Live from the menu on the left. This will bring you to the Stream Settings page.
- Click Add streaming destination and select Twitch from the drop-down menu. Give it a name so you can easily find it later, then click Continue.
- Next, you need to add a stream key. A stream key is a unique code that allows the Veo Cam to connect to Twitch and send the stream to the correct Twitch account.
- To find your stream key, go to https://www.twitch.tv/ and log into the Twitch account you want to stream to.
Click on the profile icon in the top right corner and select Creator Dashboard.
In the left menu, select Settings and choose Stream.
Find and copy the Stream Key to your clipboard by clicking the Copy button next to Primary Stream Key.
- Go back to Streaming Destinations on app.veo.co and paste the stream key into the text field.
Once you’ve added the stream key, accept the terms and conditions, then click Create streaming destination to complete the setup.
- Twitch is now enable as a Streaming Destination for you.
Note: There is a toggle that allows you to request the stream key each time you start a live stream via the Veo Camera App. Enabling this lets you paste different stream keys for different streams, allowing you to stream individual games to different Twitch channels.
Step 2: Start the Livestream
With the setup complete, you’re now ready to start a livestream.
- Open the Veo Camera App, connect to the camera, make sure it’s connected to an internet source, and tap Go Live.
- Add the Match Details and click Next.
- In the next step, select Twitch as your streaming destination and click Next.
Note: If you selected Request stream key when starting live stream during setup, the Veo Camera App will prompt you to enter the Stream Key at this step.
- Finally, Swipe to go Live to start the live stream.
The camera is now live streaming to Twitch! Note that there is a delay of around 60 seconds before the stream is viewable on Twitch.
To see and control the stream on Twitch, go to the Creator Dashboard on twitch.tv and select Stream Manager.
Here, you can edit the title by clicking on Edit Stream Info, making it easier for viewers to find your live stream.
To finish the live stream, tap Stop livestream in the Veo Camera App. This will automatically stop the stream on Twitch.
