To live stream, you need to have the Veo Live add-on subscription.
In this article, you’ll find a step-by-step guide on how to live stream to YouTube using your Veo Cam.
Step 1: Enable Live Streaming on YouTube
Before you can start live streaming on YouTube, you need to enable this feature in your YouTube account. To do this, go to studio.youtube.com and log in.
Click on Request and wait for YouTube to grant access to live streaming.
Step 2: Set Up YouTube as a Streaming Destination
Once you have access to live streaming, you’ll need to configure which YouTube account you want to stream to from Veo.
- Go to app.veo.co and select Veo Live from the menu on the left. This will take you to the Stream Settings page.
- Click Add streaming destination and choose YouTube from the drop-down menu.
- Next, connect your Veo Clubhouse to your YouTube account.
We recommend connecting by logging into your YouTube account directly. To do this, click on Connect account (Recommended).
A new window will open where you can log in with your YouTube credentials and click Allow to grant access.
Alternatively, if you plan to use a custom setup with different stream keys, you can choose Use stream key and paste in the stream key from YouTube Studio.
Note: If you connect to YouTube using Stream Keys, there is a toggle that allows you to request the stream key each time you start a live stream in the Veo Camera App. Enabling this lets you paste different stream keys for different streams.
- Once you’ve allowed Veo access to your YouTube account, accept the terms and conditions, and click Create streaming destination. Your setup is now complete.
YouTube is now enabled as a streaming destination for you.
Step 3: Start the Livestream
With everything set up, you’re ready to start a live stream through your Veo Cam.
Follow these steps to get started:
- Open the Veo Camera App, connect to the camera, ensure the camera is connected to an internet source, and tap Go Live.
- Enter the Match Details and tap Next.
- Select YouTube as your streaming destination and tap Next.
Note: If you selected Request stream key when starting live stream during setup, the Veo Camera App will prompt you to enter the Stream Key at this step.
- Finally, Swipe to go Live to start streaming.
Your camera is now live streaming to YouTube! Head over to your YouTube account to watch the live stream. Keep in mind there may be a delay of around 60 seconds before the stream is visible on YouTube.
To end the live stream, tap Stop livestream in the Veo Camera App. This will automatically stop the stream on YouTube.
