Follow this step-by-step guide to set up and start live streaming to YouTube using your Veo Cam and the Veo Camera App.
Requirements
- Veo Cam 2 or 3
- Veo Live add-on subscription
- A verified YouTube account with live streaming enabled
- Access to Veo web app and Veo Camera App
Step 1: Enable Live Streaming in YouTube Studio
This step must be completed in your YouTube account.
- Go to studio.youtube.com and log in with your Google/YouTube credentials.
- Click Request to enable live streaming for your account.
- Wait for YouTube to grant access (may take up to 24 hours).
Step 2: Set Up YouTube as a Streaming Destination in Veo
This step is done in the Veo web app.
- Log in at app.veo.co and click Veo Live from the left-hand menu to access Stream Settings.
- Click Add streaming destination and choose YouTube from the dropdown.
- Connect your Veo Clubhouse to your YouTube account:
- Click Connect account (Recommended).
- A new window will open where you can log in to YouTube and click Allow.
Alternatively: Choose Use stream key if you prefer manual setup.
Note: Using stream keys allows you to change the key for each stream. You can enable a toggle in Veo to request a new key each time you go live.
- Accept the terms and conditions, then click Create streaming destination.
YouTube is now linked as a streaming destination.
Step 3: Start the Livestream Using the Veo Camera App
This step is completed in the Veo Camera App on your mobile device.
- Open the Veo Camera App and connect to your Veo Cam. Ensure it is connected to the internet, then tap Go Live.
- Enter your Match Details and tap Next.
- Select YouTube as your streaming destination and tap Next.
Note: If you enabled the “Request stream key when starting live stream” option earlier, you will be prompted to paste your stream key here.
- Swipe to Go Live and begin streaming!
Your Veo Cam is now live streaming to your YouTube channel.
Tip: It may take up to 60 seconds before the stream appears on your YouTube page.
To Stop the Live Stream
Tap Stop livestream in the Veo Camera App. This will also stop the stream on YouTube automatically.
