This guide shows how to correctly insert a SIM card into your Veo Cam 3 5G. The process differs depending on your SIM tray type—white plastic or metallic. Follow the correct steps for your model to ensure a secure and proper fit.
Note: Only the Veo Cam 3 5G supports SIM card use. If you have the standard Veo Cam 3, you’ll see the label “NO SIM CARD” on the back of the camera.
Identify your SIM tray type
Before inserting the SIM card, check which tray type your camera uses. On the left is the white plastic tray; on the right is the metallic tray:
The insertion method depends on which tray your Veo Cam 3 5G uses. Follow the relevant instructions below:
Insert the SIM card tray
- Gently remove the SIM card tray from your Veo Cam 3 5G.
-
Place the SIM card in the tray with the
metallic side facing up.
-
Reinsert the tray into the camera, making sure it is fully inserted
and flush with the device.
✅ Correctly inserted:
❌ Incorrectly inserted:
- Check that the tray is correctly oriented by confirming that the text SIM CARD is visible and upright.
- Pull out the SIM card tray from the Veo Cam 3 5G.
- Flip your Veo Cam upside down.
- Place the SIM card into the tray with the plastic side facing up.
- Insert the tray carefully into the camera.
- Push the tray in completely, ensuring it is properly aligned with the camera body.
Important: If your Veo Cam 3 5G has a metallic tray, flipping the camera upside down is essential before inserting the SIM card. Otherwise, you may experience the following issues:
- Difficulty inserting the SIM card: The SIM may misalign or fall out during insertion.
- SIM card may fall into the camera: This won’t damage the device, but retrieving the card would require a repair.
