What do the lights on my Veo Cam 2 mean?

Learn how to interpret the indicator lights on your Veo Cam 2. This guide explains the meaning of each light pattern so you can understand your camera’s status and take appropriate action.

Camera Status Indicators

The lights on the back of the Veo Cam 2 show the current status of the camera. Use the guide below to interpret the different light patterns.

Booting

What it means: The camera is turning on or off.

What to do: Wait until the lights become solid—this means the camera is ready.

Ready for Input

If the camera displays five steady lights, it means that the camera is ready to use. 

What to do: Open the Veo Camera App to start a live stream or recording.

Busy

If the camera is displaying two flashing lights on the left side of the camera, then the camera is busy recording, live-streaming, uploading, or updating.

What to do: No action needed unless you want to stop the current process.

Error

If the camera is displaying five flashing lights, and will not exit this cycle, then the camera is experiencing a booting error. 

What to do: Restart the camera by holding the power button for 15 seconds. If this fails, contact Support.

Battery Dead

If the camera displays one blinking light in the battery section of the indicator lights, the camera is fully discharged and cannot power on. 

What to do: Plug in the camera and let it charge for a while before trying again.

Battery Level Indicators

The battery level is displayed using the last three LEDs on the back of the camera. Use this table to check how much battery your Veo Cam 2 has or how far along it is while charging.

Three solid lights 67–100% battery level
Two solid lights 33–67% battery level
One solid light 8–33% battery level
One light blinking fast 0–8% battery level
Three solid lights (while charging) 97–100% charged
Two solid lights, one pulsing 67–97% charging
One solid light, one pulsing 33–67% charging
One pulsing light 0–33% charging

This overview allows you to quickly identify your Veo Cam 2’s current battery level or charging progress.

Troubleshooting Questions

  • Why are no lights showing on my Veo Cam 2?
    The battery may be fully discharged. Connect the camera to a charger and wait a few minutes before trying again.
  • What does it mean if the lights are blinking but the camera won’t connect?
    The camera may still be booting or experiencing an error. Wait for the LEDs to stabilize or perform a restart.
  • Why is my camera stuck in the “busy” state?
    The camera might be uploading or updating. Give it time to finish. If it’s unresponsive for over 10 minutes, restart it.
  • How do I know if the camera is charging?
    Check for pulsing lights on the back. These indicate different charging levels.
